so,  i’ve really enjoyed these two stars that are on a canal wall behind my office.
being in richmond, va i wasn’t certain if they were historic markers or graffiti in a historic style. word from cindy hicks (art talent dept) is that they are graffiti and done by Becca Midwood (a woman who has been called the female Basquiat). Word is that they used to say  ’Grandma nice.’ and ‘Girlfriend try kill me.’ it’s strange that they give me a bit o’comfort — perhaps it’s the idea (& lasting win) of the historic deception.
